I am a gamer by heart who has become just as passionate about localizing content in order to make it more accessible to German speakers.
I have got a master’s degree in history and German studies. Therefore, I have a strong background in German.
My career in the gaming industry began in 2012, when I started as a customer support specialist at Nexon Europe. Soon after, we decided to build our own localization team in the office. So I transferred to the newly founded department and helped build it from scratch.
I have stayed in the localization ever since. In 2016, I joined Perfect World and in 2022, Gearbox.
During all of my time in the localization department, I translated and proofread game content, patch notes, press releases, marketing mails, subtitles of videos, and other important texts.
Additionally, in-game QA was an essential part of my work. Making sure that the translated text looked great in the game, and that the content was functional was important to provide the gamers with the best possible experience.
During my career I took care of several games. Some were huge titles, others were more on the indie side.
Just to name some of the games that I have been working on:
Remnant and Remnant II, Neverwinter, Star Trek Online, Have a Nice Death, MapleStory, Vindictus, and Atlantica Online.
I always put my all into the games that I have been working on. Only this way can you create a great localization of the content, and deliver the best possible experience to players that are not familiar with the original language of the game.
If you are looking for a reliable partner to localize all your video game content, then you came to the right place. LinguaLizard is highly specialized in German localization, but I can also organize other target languages.
Feel free to send an email to discuss how LinguaLizard can assist you.
